Death died

"I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."

<sub>I'm not sure where it was where I once heard it, but I think it was a pastor on TV who said: "Today is the day that death died." I remember thinking it was one of the coolest descriptions of Jesus' resurrection and defeat over death I've ever heard, and it just stuck with me.
Anyway, that was more than a year ago. I wasn't sure at first if I wanted to draw something for Easter; I usually feel I can't draw my Savior cause there's just no epic way of doing it. Nobody will ever be able to draw Him, no matter how wonderful the drawing may be. Sorry to say that, that's just my feelings...
I actually feel I have no right to draw His hands...that alone seems like something too overwhelming to try and depict...
But...I feel like I need to share my happiness and joy, so I decided I'd draw this.
I thought that the best way to depict the defeat over death is with the keys Jesus took from Satan. I don't think it's actual keys, I think it's more of a figurative way of seeing His victory.

So...erm, this is a little simplified. I mean, usually my drawings have major detailing in them. But I wanted to leave as much white in it as possible, to kinda give the feeling of light and being clean. Of purity, I guess.
Hahaha, it's so strange...right now RED's song, Take it all away is playing (I love this song ). Kinda cute coincidence...

Gah...I actually have very little to say...like, I don't know what to say.
I mean, come on. We're celebrating the day of a Man that rose from the dead, who washed away the filth of mankind through His death. Isn't that amazing? Isn't that so overwhelmingly amazing and just simply...indescribable.

I'm just so thankful. To know that despite being a sinner, He still loves me. He still holds my hand and leads the way, even if I stumble sometimes.


Abba...I just give You all the praise, glory and honor today. Only YOU, forever and always.</sub>
